Muddy masterpieces and musical washing lines are just two highly creative activities which are planned for a forthcoming local schools event that is scheduled to take place on 7th July 2006. Children and staff from Hardley cluster schools are already focusing their highly creative energies towards the fun packed event that has now become a regular feature on the local calendar.
Supported by ExxonMobil and the national school grounds charity, Learning through Landscapes, the day promises to be filled with learning, enjoyment and excitement. ‘For years primary and secondary in the Hardley cluster have joined together for this event. It is a superb opportunity for different schools and different age groups to network together and develop friendships and quite frankly create some superb and inspiring masterpieces’ commented Tina Daniel, headteacher of Fawley Infant School.
This year the event is hosted by Hardley School and Sixth Form and schools taking part include: Fawley Infant; Manor Infant; Blackfield Infant; Blackfield Junior; and Cadland Primary. Activities that are planned for the day include:
- Mud painting
- Fence Weaving
- Pictures using natural materials.
- Create a mini beast
- Tree Decorations using recycled materials
- Musical Washing lines using recycled materials/metallic materials
- Paint/printing large-scale with natural objects
- Drama- making a film/use musical instruments etc.
Nigel Burt, ExxonMobil’s community affairs manager at Fawley said ‘We are delighted to be able to support such an innovative and creative event in our community.
